‘One in every three women will be beaten or raped during her lifetime’.

Since the past three years, Uddeshya, in its quest to bring about change, has taken up a stance in support of the Global One Billion Rising campaign to end violence against women by organizing a series of events themed along those lines. Masses of students lit candles in solidarity with this global revolution and took an oath - a promise to rebuke the violence against women, a word to trail the path of solidarity and an assurance to bring forth a change.
